Algeria Lays Groundwork for NLP-Powered Mental Healthcare, Offering Blueprint for Low-Resource Regions

A new conceptual framework proposes integrating Natural Language Processing (NLP) into Algeria's mental healthcare system. This initiative addresses significant barriers such as the language-of-care gap, unequal access due to geography, and the pervasive stigma surrounding mental health. The framework is built upon an analysis of global NLP research, Algerian healthcare literature, and NLP methods suitable for low-resource environments.
