Policy-wise, Kenya unveiled an ambitious AI strategy focused on local value and sovereignty, while South Africa's withdrawal of its policy raised concerns. The widespread adoption of AI was also tempered by practical challenges, from the need for localized ethical governance in Morocco's policing to the critical importance of workplace integration and addressing infrastructure gaps in education and healthcare.
