Nigerian AI Startup Decide Integrates Spreadsheet Automation into Cafe One Co-working Spaces
Nigerian artificial intelligence startup Decide has announced a strategic partnership with Cafe One, one of Nigeria's largest co-working chains. This collaboration will provide members of Cafe One's numerous locations across the country with access to Decide's AI agent, a tool designed to streamline spreadsheet analysis, facilitate research, and automate data-intensive tasks for professionals. This marks the inaugural public rollout of "Decide for Work," a new initiative aimed at distributing the AI assistant through collaborations with businesses, educational institutions, and professional communities.
Cafe One, with over 30 locations nationwide, caters to a diverse demographic of founders, consultants, analysts, and finance professionals—precisely the target audience Decide aims to serve. Abiodun Adetona, CEO of Decide, highlighted the natural synergy between the two entities, emphasizing that Cafe One's members closely align with the user profile for which Decide was developed. This partnership allows Decide to reach its intended users directly within their daily work environments.
Rather than solely pursuing a direct-to-consumer growth model, Decide is strategically positioning its AI agent as a workplace productivity solution that organizations can offer to their employees and members. Through "Decide for Work," the company seeks to embed its technology into existing professional ecosystems, whether in physical offices, co-working spaces, or industry-specific communities. The startup is actively exploring similar partnerships with other co-working operators, universities, and professional bodies to broaden its reach.
Decide has rapidly gained traction since its launch in 2025. The company was founded by Adetona after he observed challenges faced by colleagues at Flutterwave, a prominent Nigerian tech company, in extracting valuable insights from complex spreadsheets. In approximately one year, Decide has amassed over 3,000 users, including employees at major organizations like Bank of America, KPMG, OPay, and PwC. Its capabilities have also been recognized by independent benchmarking platforms such as SpreadsheetBench, which ranked Decide among the top AI agents for spreadsheet operations. This success underscores Nigeria's growing innovation in AI solutions tailored for real-world business needs.
